Re: X1 Extreme and Apple Thunderbolt Display - worked on Thinkpad P1

2019-08-09, 19:47 PM

I can confirm that enabling Thunderbolt BIOS assist, with pre-OS support, and No security (as suggested by others) works to get an Apple Thunderbolt Display working with the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter for a brand new Thinkpad P1.

I had to have the display plugged into the laptop while powering up to make the flicker go away. USB peripherals/sound etc also work.
