Hello community, hope you can help me with this one:
ThinkPad X1 GEN4 (type 20FB) that after a few minutes just shuts off and the power button don't work. the only way to bring the laptop back is to reset using a pin on the small hole on the bottom.
- Tried to just enter BIOS SETUP and see if it holds... shut down after a few minutes.
- Tried to run the BIOS diagnostic, besides nothing wrong... shut down after a few minutes.
- Battery charged 100%
- Tried Plugged and unplugged to the charger, same issue.
99% sure is a hardware issue related to the battery but is weird that it does not properly shut down, but is like deep sleep.. any idea?

I suppose the easiest way to figure that out is to physically disconnect the battery. I know when my Dell's battery was dying, it would trigger thermal warnings and immediately cut all power (the laptop would just drop dead).
