X1 SSD Firmware Upgrade w/o CDROM?

I am attempting to upgrade my X1 (1293) SSD firmware (here) but  I do not have an external CD/DVD drive to burn the ISO image.   Using 7-zip, I extracted the [BOOT] directory & contents to a fat32-formatted flash drive, but the X1 fails to boot with the message "Remove disks or other media.  Press any key to restart."

I've also tried mounting the ISO on my computer & my Mac, but they both show the mounted ISO as being empty.

Any ideas?

Re: X1 SSD Firmware Upgrade w/o CDROM?

Nevermind.  I installed the "Intel Solid State Drive Toolbox' (link) and it let me update the firmware directly from Intel with a single click.

If anyone from Lenovo's reading this, you might work out something with Intel on this one.  It's way easier than rummaging through a pile of junk to find an external CDRW/DVDRW drive. Smiley Happy
