X1 Yoga 1st Gen (Type 20FQ, 20FR) no Touchscreen

Replaced a screen on the X1 Yoga after the screen broke down (garbled and distorted video...)

Replaced and went back to the client -

Client reported that touch screen no longer worked.

Ordered another screen. Same thing.

On a normal unit, the touch screen works with Ubuntu linux (I know, amazing right!?)

Tried all the suggestions that Lenovo online said and to no avail.

Have ordered a mother board -- and Yes, I replaced all the video and digitizer cables too.

Oddly the Hardware/Device manager in windows shows the touch screen as being present --
And the WINDOWS Logo on the screen touch feature actually works -- but not the rest of the screen.

Anyone else out there in Lenovo land having issues with their Touch Screen --
Lenovo has been very coy about talking about anyone elses experiences - I imagine that this issue is likely widespread.

Are both finger touch and pen affected?

Yes - they sure are....

Funny that touching the WINDOWS logo on the bottom of the touch screen opens the APP menu.

I have a gen 2 and 3 yoga, but not a gen1.  I haven't seen this reported, so my first guess is "software".  Do you have any way to install a different ssd and test with a clean windows image?
