That patch did not help on the X1 Yogas. So far the only thing that is working is to stay on the 4444 or 4505 version of the driver.

Prabhansh, your post "Patch module for Intel Panel for Windows 10 (64-bit) - ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Type 20FB, 20FC), X1 Yoga" solved the problem of the black screen on my yoga x1 (20FQ) with the last Intel HF graphics 520 driver 184.108.40.20690.
But in your case the model is 20FR but still you can try with above patch otherwise we'll have to wait for the Lenovo to release some patch or hotfix.

We have some level of enterprise support on our 50+ X1 Yogas so we called Lenovo about this after we reverted to older drivers and tested/confirmed that the 'critial' driver update installed via Lenovo System Update was the problem. On one of our working systems they dispatched (NBD) a tech with a new hard drive. On the other working system they dispatcehd (NBD) a tech with a new system board.

Just adding in that had the same fun little surprise this morning after my driver updated. Now I have no screen on the laptop, it's just black. I can however plug it into an external display to get it to work somwhat (super inconvenient that this happened today as much of the east coast is home under 2 feet of snow).
I go to that link with the patch (I have the X1 Yoga 20FR), but it says it's from 6/6/16, so not really keen on putting that on either. If that were a fix, why not just update the Lenovo companion to fix this issue?

See my previous post "FIXED: X1 Yoga display killed with latest Intel HD Graphics Driver"
As for why Lenovo Support hasn't fixed this issue yet? It's anyone's guess...

I also can confirm, that the patch that was listed above fixed our problems with X1 Carbon (20FB). After installing the patch, screen gets alive again. And I can also confirm, that installing the patch before updating to 220.127.116.1190 works, so if you wish to update, you shuld first install the patch.

Glad to hear that issue was sorted out by patch, already it was posted to you in earlier reply.
