X1 Yoga 2nd Keyboard Replacement

2020-01-18, 20:18 PM

One of the keys on my X1 Yoga 2nd has stopped working.  I have replaced keyboards on other laptops before.  Is it possible for a user to replace the keyboard on this model?

Looking at the parts list and the HMM I'd say possible, but not fun :(  Looks like the rise-and-fall keyboard is integrated with the top cover.  That means you remove everything else and are left with that.  Going by what I read, not personal experience.

I _think_ a part # is 01HY850.  Please verify if you go that way.

[edit to add] Here's a thread w/info from a mod who knows his way around this stuff.  Different part #s _,may_ be for kbd only:

good luck,
