Ever since I updated to Windows 10 1809, my fingerprint reader has not been consistently working on the lock screen. Sometimes it would turn on and scan, while other times it wouldn't work at all. I checked device manager and saw the attached screenshot. After fumbling around with some drivers, now it won't work at all. The BIOS says there is no fingerprint reader attached. This makes me think it it a hardware issue. I may try a fresh install of Windows before I contact support. Any other suggestions?

Based on response from Lenovo employee Someotherguy in below post. If you cant see it in BIOS then its a hardware problem. Sorry.
