X1 Yoga 3rd Gen - How to revive from sleep in tent/tablet mode?

2019-01-12, 14:47 PM

Sorry if this has been asked and answered before.  I'm a new owner of an X1 Yoga 3rd Gen.  Simple question: how do you revive it from sleep in tent/tablet mode?  In those modes the keyboard is deactivated.  When the screen turns off after inactivity the only way I can get it back on again is by folding the computer back into laptop mode.  Touching the screen, the touchpad, or pressing the power button does nothing.

I've looked for an answer online, and it seems like there might not be another way to revive the laptop other than that, which seems silly.  Is the only workaround to install an app that prevents the screen from turning off?

The power button should do it.  You have to press and hold it for a good half-second or so.  A quick press won't do it.
