X1 Yoga 3rd Gen - Rotation lock not working

2019-01-10, 7:40 AM

hi,

i need help on my new X1 yoga 3rd gen.

i bought it for a month now, and i am still figuring out how to set the auto rotation settings in the laptop (obviously it doens't rotate).

i tried to click on the "rotation lock" but it is greyed out, i tried online solutions but to no avail....

anyone encounter this problem can help me? or else it is pointless to get a yoga instead of standard laptop carbon....

thanks

Hi,

I just tested this on my X1 Yoga 3rd gen.  Rotation lock is greyed out in "Laptop" mode.  But if you switch to tablet mode it becomes available.  The other thing to do is force portrait mode and switch to tablet mode.  It also became "ungreyed".  Whats weird is the moment I switch to laptop mode it becomes greyed out again.

Did you switch from Landscape mode to Portrait mode while in laptop mode then switch to tablet mode?
