I just purchased the extended warranty and the on site. Gonna have them come in and fix it next week once the purchase shows connected to my serial number on the account. Apperantly I have to call back in Monday.
In the meantime, I disabled the touch screen in the device manager and it has stopped it from ghost touching so at least I can do work on it without it closing my programs!

Wanted to mention that I've been seeing this issue over the past couple of weeks as well. I use the Windows SketchPad a lot as a replacement for sketchign on paper. I'll randomly get the Save As prompt while sketching or even when I'm not touching the screen. The Save As icon is also in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
I'm interested if anyone has had their laptop serviced and successfully seen the issue disappear.

My screen was replaced yesterday after I upgraded my warranty to next day on-site. So far the issue hasn't occured, whereas it was constant before and I could replicate any time. When my laptop was new there was no issue it started after a few weeks or a month, so we'll have to see if it re-develops, but for now replacing the screen has worked.

Any official statement from Lenovo as to cause and permanent fix?
I want to buy a batch of Lenovo Yoga X1 3rd generation devices but afraid to do so until there is more information...

Just got my x1 yoga back after a repair. They replaced the cables. At the start the ghost touch issue seemed to have been fixed but a few hours later, I started seeing them again, just not as bad as before.
Lenovo please address this issue. I've had two different screens and now a third repair for this issue. My t470 runs flawless but I've had nothing but issues with much more high end X1 yoga. It is quite frustrating.

This doesn't give me hope if people are still seeing issues even after having them repaired. The ghost touching makes the computer completely unusable at times. I would hope Lenovo would step up to the plate and get this sorted out. Otherwise, this is the kind of thing that would cause me to walk away from Lenovo products for good.
