I can report some success. I'm not entirely sure what I did, but here's what I think I did... I did not have to adjust color gamut or anything out of the ordinary.
I downloaded Intel UHD 620 drivers from intel:
I noticed they were slightly newer than Lenovo ones. I tried to run the installer and it failed saying there were OEM drivers prohibiting installing Intel ones.
Go to Device Manger and delete the monitor (not sure that part was needed) and then deleted the graphics adapter for the UHD 620. I selected to delete files on the adapter uninstall. Then without reboot, I installed the Intel version. This took 5 minutes. It appeared to be upgrading firmware.
Now this display is white! The red hue is gone on the laptop panel. I'm not sure about connected displays, and I've only been on battery, so I'm not sure if I can still turn on HDR and how well that works. I may have broken that in the non-OEM install. But for now it's looking good.

I also had success. I followed all the steps for updating the display driver with the intel one and deleting and reinstalling the fixed version of Lenovo Display Optimizer. Before, changing settings in the optimizer did almost nothing. Now it's actually working. The screen looks much better. Now I can stop focusing on that and actually spend some quality time checking out the device.

I used it, yes. It installed fine. I did not compare the display pre vs post install of the program though, as I was rushing to follow the steps to see how it would work. I know that when I deleted the program the first time before following the rest of the steps, the screen temparature immediatley became less warm/red.
The program is definitely safe, though -- Thanks again darkone

I don't think I had a red hue, but I had some weird behavior that I did not expect. The first time I turned on the HDR button, the screen went much darker than what it was. Then I noticed that when I had apps open, like a web browser, the screen would flicker in between a darker tint and a brighter tint. I did what the reddit page suggested with the Intel app and adjusted the saturation down to -25 and it got rid of the weird flicker. Everything seems fine now. Thanks for posting about that Intel setting.
