X1 Yoga Gen 4 - 2019 issue with HDMI--not able to connect to an external monitor

Hi, I have been trying to connect my yoga X1 gen 4 laptop to an external monitor using a HDMI cable.

it isn't working. I have connected the recently purchased monitor to my perivous Yoga and it works fine. Which means the cable and the montior are not the issue.

I have updated all the drivers both using the vantage and support site. I have updated the BIOS. I have also pressed the tiny little reset button at the back of the laptop. But still no success.

what do i do?

Kind Regards

Re: X1 Yoga Gen 4 - 2019 issue with HDMI--not able to connect to an external monitor

Hi DT29! Welcome to our forums community. According to the product referrence, you can connect to a maximum of 2 external displays. With a maximum resolution of 5120x2880 at 60Hz through the USB-C or HDMI at 4096x2160 at 24Hz. May we know what OS version are you running? If you're using Windows 10, type 'winver' on the search box.

Please refer to the photo below.

And also, please check if there are pending Windows update. Capture.PNG
