Overall, I'm really pleased with the OLED display of my X1 Yoga, but I'm having some fairly unpleasant artifacting in areas where there is a gradient that is very dark (nearly black). At first I only saw this in videos, where it's very noticeable any time much of the screen is dark. I thought maybe it was poor compression or a bad rendering . . . but it also shows up in some still images where the image fades all the way to black, so I think it's actually something with the display itself, or maybe a color issue.
Have other people seen this? Is there a known solution?
Thanks!

Anyone else having this issue (or able to confirm that not all units do have it)?
I found a post on another forum from someone with the same issue. That person said they returned their laptop and got a new one, which resolved the problem, but it wasn't clear (and they haven't responded yet) to whether they got another X1 Yoga with OLED that didn't have the problem, or if they got a different computer altogether.
Please, anyone with an X1 Yoga OLED respond here and say yes or no if your screen has this issue.
Thanks!

Anyone? Hello?

Yes, I have this issue. I'm in the process of getting a replacement system.

Thanks - so you contacted Lenovo support, and they are replacing the unit due to this issue?

Yes, keep in mind, I just received my laptop Thursday, so that was an option for me. I don't know about your circumstances, though.
One thing I have noticed, I don't have the issue at 100% brightness, but at 90%, my entire dark grey spectrum shifts to being slightly lighter; the rest above rgb 10,10,10 become slightly darker. This is still a huge issue in my eye because who wants to use a laptop at 100% brightness, all the time, to work around a significant coloration issue?

Ok, thanks.

Just an update. I'm giving up on the thinkpad. 9 week wait.

Mine does the same - issue goes away at 100% brightness, but anything less and the dark areas look gross.
I contacted support and they are having me send the unit in to replace the screen. I'll post back to report if that solves the problem. They said it would take 3-5 business days from when they receive it.
