X1 Yoga won't boot when connected to OneLink+ dock

When connected to the OneLink+ dock the Yoga won't boot. It sticks at the Lenovo splash screen. Disconnected from the dock it boots fine. I've tried 2 different X1 Yoga devices. One is running Win10 1607 the other is running 1703. One has Secure Boot enabled, the other does not. Both devices are fully up to date according to Lenovo Companion app. Dock is running latest firmware (233) [the updater says the firmware is already 233]. Both Yoga devices have the same problem.

Anyone managed to fix this?

Re: X1 Yoga won't boot when connected to OneLink+ dock

I have experienced similar symptoms on a very different machine. I was able to resolve it by disabling boot devices other than the actual system drive in the BIOS. I think what happened was that the system thought I'd attached a bootable device (in this case, it was a 5-in-1 USB flash card reader), but it was wrong, so it got stuck. Telling it to only ever try to boot from the system drive avoided the confusion.
