Re: X1 battery bad

Don't let you laptop go below 10% battery life.  Lithium polymer batteries are extremely vulnerable to depletion and will not be able to hold charge well after depletion.

Re: X1 battery bad

i normaly plug in the ac adapter when my x1 gives mit the battery warning at about 15%

but even though it could not be normal to loose half of the battery capacity after only 26 load cycles

my old t400 got still over 85% capacity after over 200 load cycles

i made a recalibration of the battery an now status is good an capacity is nearly 100% again - but it leaves a bad taste as the battery is not changeable an has only 1 Year warranty whereas my x1 has 3 years  - so even if i got 2 years left if the battery is dead i have a dead X1 even tough i am still in waranty ?

Re: X1 battery bad

Re: X1 battery bad

I don't own an X1 but if I recall the battery in the X1 is an fru not a customer replaceable unit (cru).  If this is the case wouldn't the extended warrantee cover the battery?  Or does Lenovo have a special warrantee exception for fru'd batteries?
