X1 carbon 5th slim bezel issue

I have been using the X1 carbon 5th generation in Korea for 2 weeks, and as I attached it, I used my laptop last night and after opening it this morning, my desktop was broken like this. I did not give any external shocks and asked for free repair, but Lenovo Service Center did not agree. I personally doubt the issue of thin bezel or initial assembly quality. In addition, the touch pad continues to stop. If you have users with similar experiences like me, I hope i get help.

Thank you  IMG_6079.PNG

Re: X1 carbon 5th slim bezel issue

Wow, I feel for you, it's terrible when this happens...

To my eyes, this seem like a hardware issue to me...

Did you try to do repair Windows or Reinstall Windows if you have Windows 10 or Windows 8?

fyi, we use X1 Carbon 3, and also X1 Carbon 4 machines, some gets carried around from work/home daily,

and never had this problem... ie: never this screen issue before...

Re: X1 carbon 5th slim bezel issue

It looks like it could be a loose display cable. Maybe you could tell them that?

It may be fixable without replacement parts.

Re: X1 carbon 5th slim bezel issue

So it's not a Windows problem?

Then this sounds like hardware problems to us.

We feel you should escalate these issues with Lenovo/Thinkpad to get it fixed under warranty.

(Guess your product exchange period had already ended).

IF Lenovo suspects that you have "dropped" your computer and damaged it, then it is up to Lenovo to prove this by showing you the drop marks. Short of this, then it is Lenovo's job to repair your computer under warranty. Period.
