I think this has happened after some Windows Update - the fingerprint scanner no longer works. It doesn't blink green, the sign-in option is stuck in "Please wait...", and I can't really figure out where the settings for it are because of the really dumb collection of "apps" Lenovo has instead of a robust single application.
In Device manager the fingerprint thing is listed as "Biometric devices > TouchChip fingerprint coprocessor" and states it "works properly".
In User Accounts the Fingerprint option is no longer available.
What is going on and how do I fix this?
