X1 carbon failures

2016-06-05, 17:56 PM

My X1 with great specs is not as good as it should be (i7, 8GB RAM, 500G SSD).

  • 2 -3 times a day it crashes (BSOD). After installing Synaptics general drivers, that's gone. But I end up with many applications not scrolling.
  • The fingerprint is unstable. Often the light is green when logging on, sometimes still working, sometimes not working at all. Searching the internet, I find I am not alone.

This is my first post on this forum.

I have been using Thinkpads for something like 15 years, and mostly been proud and happy about it. X, T-series, even 770 (?). They were all very stable and usable for business use.

My X1 is mediocre however.

I would very much like Lenovo to do something about these issues for their flagship system.
