X1 carbon gen 9, missing Power Plans

2021-10-07, 3:57 AM

I just bought my X1 carbon gen 9.

There's only Balanced plan in my Power Options.

I tried follow fix, but it did not work:

- maybe your laptop has Modern Standby link modern-standby

Modern standby replaces the legacy standby (S3);

[ IF supports Modern standby resulting in , you can only have the Balanced power plan;

tt177 is correct. That's Modern Standby!
USB-C: Just cos it fits don't mean it works.
I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!

Thank you tt177 and bananaman!

My original problem is that if I set any value, except for "never", for "display off", the display will dim in 1 or 2 minutes.

And it never sleeps with whatever sleep value I set.

Do you have any idea about these?

Or is there a way to go back to s3 sleep?

This might be caused by the User Presence Sensing in Vantage -> Smart Assist.  Try disabling that and see if things work the way you want.
