Betreff: X1 first reviews online!

Glossy display and permanently installed main battery: no-go

Additional the wide display-bezel - that reminds me to the i-series, where 12" lcd have been attached into 14" display-covers.

Re: X1 first reviews online!

This machine appears to make ZERO functional sense vs. the X220. At the same weight (the X220 with the nine-cell battery) the X220 gets 3x the battery life! Seeing as they both have the same screen resolution and the X220 screen is better (non-glossy and IPS) and the X220 battery is user-replaceable, that X-1 appears to be nothing more than "style over substance."

Re: X1 first reviews online!

Hi rsdmems,

it´s a question of style yes, but it´s really a nice to have, according to it´s features mentioned in this video here. Smiley Tongue

5h battery power, loaded to 80% in 30 minutes aren´t really bad, me thinks.

Lol, sure, but it's not as fast as simply being able to swap out the battery!

Re: X1 first reviews online!

Hi rsdmems,

you´re right it´s not an X220 or T420s. It´s something in between, with new technologies, battery, gorilla glas etc.. Smiley Happy

But it´s cute, isn´t it?

Re: X1 first reviews online!

That integrated mirror looks awesome. One can almost identify the cam used for the video.Smiley Wink The real deal breakers however are 7 mm HDD and only one DIMM slot. Guess I'll stick with my X200s.

Re: X1 first reviews online!

It seems prett good. I like the Core i5 processor, the bright 350-nit screen, and the backlit keyboard. I don't think I am going to rush out and by it, but it looks good.
