All,

Thanks - I've received a number of PM's with user contact & system information and have escalated the case.

Please continued to share your experiences here, and we will continue to follow the conversation as we work to recreate and then resolve the issue.  If our technical team has additional questions, we will be sure to post them back here, along with applicable progress updates.

Thanks for your help!

Mark

So was this resloved and the solution was a new board and card? I mean I want to buy an X100e but if I have to have the board swapped on a new machine then I can WAIT. When is the dual core set to be released anyway?

Initial results:

The system board and the Qualcomm card have been replaced. So far it looks as though the problem has been resolved. Although, I ran into time constraints to test fully. However, the issue with the Qualcomm card not being recognized is resolved. The Qualcomm card is currently being recognized.

I'm out of the office until Monday, but as soon I'm back on Monday I'll provide a full update with tons of details.

Stay tuned.

And problems continue...I can connect to the Net via WWAN with Gobi (as I'm using the old version of BIOS), but suddenly it has decided that it can only connect via GPRS not HSDPA. Earlier with the same settings I got in to the 3G network with HSDPA connection, but not anymore for some days. OK, it might be problem with the operator, but I checked that connecting the computer to Internet via my nokia 5800 and got the full 3.5G speed.

This computer starts to be kinda disappointment.

Ok...Here are the results:

It all started after I updated my Bios to 1.11.

I worked with 5 different "Lenovo Technicians" on the phone with 4 different case numbers created. It was a nightmare!

I tried everything with them; re-installing complete driver stack...to no avail. At the end, of the day the technicians had walked me through upgrading to the latest Bios 1.20a. Again no resolution.

Finally I got fed up and said...send a technician out or send me a refund.

Lenovo sent a technician to replace the Qualcomm Gobi card and the system board.

The problem is resolved!!! Of course, I had to re-activate the Gobi card with Verizon, but everything is working great!!
