X100e: Turbo Memory, driver cannot start

I bought a Turbo Memory card recently.

It is a half size card, with Lenovo FRU: 43Y6523

After installing the drivers, the device manager says, the card cannot be started, Failure code 10.

This happenes with intel and Lenovo drivers on both mini Pcie slots.

X100e,  4 GB Ram, Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

Re: X100e: Turbo Memory, driver cannot start

Does the X100e even support Turbo Memory?

Re: X100e: Turbo Memory, driver cannot start

I thought that the mini-PCIe slots only accept ones that are whitelisted for the particular laptop. IE, nothing else will work, even if its a Lenovo FRU, it simply is not in the BIOS whitelist.

Re: X100e: Turbo Memory, driver cannot start

I have exactly the same problem.

A Half size TM card installed in the full size slot, fixed with tape.

I have a modded BIOS on my x100e, with no whitelists, but still, Turbo Memory is not working.

Code 10, the device cannot be started.

Re: X100e: Turbo Memory, driver cannot start

What is this Turbo Memory thing? A small caching SSD of some sort?

Maybe the AMD platform does not support it?

HiVolt is right, an intel turbo memory card isn't going to be compatible with an AMD system.

Dammit.

Is the half size TM identical to a full size?

Could it work in another PC that has already TurboMem working?

Re: X100e: Turbo Memory, driver cannot start

The slot should be the same but the physical dimensions of the cards are different.  The full size is longer so the screw holes won't line up.

Re: X100e: Turbo Memory, driver cannot start

I installed the Lenovo half size Turbo Mem. in a Dell Vostro 1500.

Another TM module is already working in there.

But even the Dell cannot start the Lenovo TM, always code 10, the device annot start or the drivers cannot be found code 31.

This happenes with Lenovo TM only too.
