Re: X100e and X120e screen survey

My data string is B116XW02 V1, so apparently AUO. Manufacture date is 2009, wk1.

The display is acceptably bright, but viewing angles are pretty terrible. Horizontal angles are much better than the vertical. I can understand the 'haziness' comment- sometimes I feel like i can see the individual pixels or at least perceive the gap between them.

It's about what I expect out of a 1366x768 11.6" screen. I'm now curious what the LG and Samsung ones look like :P Will have to check what the other x120e is.

The other x120e has the LG display.  I booted both up into Ubuntu 11.04, and the AUO one is slightly brighter than the LG panel.  The LG one is slightly less hazy (subjective) and the colors are warmer.  I'm not sure if there are color adjustments being done, but I would prefer the AUO one since the color is closer to what my IPS monitor displays.

Hi! Does anybody know is Samsung LTN116AT02-401 compatible with LTN116AT01-401 (or ThinkPad X120e in general)? Thanks.
