Re: X120e: Buy now or wait?

Sincerely, the YB is a nice machine, but it has a glare display (a good one I presume) a 5400rpm HDD, and a tiny battery if compared to the lenovos's ones.

Back to the edge, If the US layout isn't a problem you can look also @some other EU variants.

The NL one is on par with the italian version on th HW side (K345, HDD 320Gb, RAM 4Gb ) and should be shipped with the US keyboard layout.

Re: X120e: Buy now or wait?

TP edge 11 AMD, two new models available in UK now.

Finally the UK friends can buy the top model with K345 as happen on most of the other european countries.

One of them comes with integrated wwan, and all case colors are available (including matte black)

Re: X120e: Buy now or wait?

And BOTH with Anti-Glare screens, just like the x100/120e.

Yes matte screen and (if you want) matte case.

Now your position is better than mine, I can have just glossy red, and no wwan option.

Re: X120e: Buy now or wait?

I just phoned Lenovo to say the X100e is no longer available on the Lenovo UK website can we expect the X120e? She said NO. Its not being released because you can get the Edge 11. I said like hell I will. Its crap and costs more. Then I hung up.

He's not joking. The only way to get mostly rid of the stuttering is to turn off Power Manager. Even then it still crops up and my computer now freezes when coming out of sleep. Not good and not a peep from IBM.

Re: X120e: Buy now or wait?

'Power Manager' is a piece of Lenovo bloatware.  One can remove it entirely without affecting the power management features built in to Windows (or replacement Linux OS).   It's a complete non-issue.

In other news, there is now a link on the Lenovo UK site for the X120e .... doesn't contain any info yet, but it's obviously going to be sold.
