X120e Shutoff When Plugged In

2015-08-12, 1:52 AM

When my X120e is plugged in, it shuts off. To be more specific, it is not the normal Windows shutoff, it is a hard shutoff, like all lights off, hard drive stops spinning in half a second shutoff. On reboot, Windows does not notice that it had a problem, it just continues on, as if it had shut down normally.

I suspect that this is an issue with the power supply. I am not knowledgeable enough in computer hardware to isolate the probelm myself. Any suggestions on where to start?

Any help would be appriciated.

So after it does the shutdown, it will boot normally with the AC attached?
