X120e can't connect to Wifi, yes I've check F5

2011-06-19, 6:54 AM

My X120e can not see any wifi signals

using the access connection screen I DO SEE wifi and bluetooth are both turned on

laptop was working fine out of the box, but stopped afer some

"critical updates" from windows were installed

I've tried download and reinstalling the drivers 8 times now.

and still nothing,   grrr.....

Lenovo support advised I try a system restore, which was not sucessfull

also all these drivers I'n re-installing also messed up my blue tooth :(

Lnovo tech also said I should locate the button on the case that disables the wifi

I assured him I did not see such a thing

If anyone has had a similair problem, please let me know

Try uninstalling the wireless, power management, and hotkey drivers, rebooting, then use System Update to grab the latest versions of them.

I have had this happen to me.

what i did was right click the network icon in the bottom right and troubleshoot. It then finds out that it is disabled or something then enable it. I think this is a power managment issue that disables it though.
