X121e Mobile Broadband Capability

2011-10-08, 15:13 PM

Hi there,

Wondering if someone can assist, I'm looking to purchase a Lenovo x121e with the Intel i3 Processor.

However I have a query in regards to "Integrated Mobile Broadband" when I customise the machine there are two options.

1. "Integrated Mobile Broadband - Upgradeable"

2. "Integrated Mobile Broadband - Ericsson F5521gw"

What exactly do these options mean? If I go for option 1 will I be able to simply stick my mobile broadband SIM in and use it or do I need additional hardware?

Regards,

Chris

2 - it's a laptop with sim reader, antennas and built-in 3G modem Ericsson
2 - just with sim reader and antennas, for future upgrade if you'll want

Hi chrism,

The following HMM has the list of compatible WWAN cards with their FRU numbers (item 16, pg. 88-89):- http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/guides-and-manuals/detail.page?DocID=UM007821

Hope this helps.
