Good Morning,
The PalmCheck feature enables the ThinkPad(R) UltraNav(R) Driver to check users’ input behaviors to prevent unintentional input from the touch pad. When one of the following input behaviors is detected, the ThinkPad UltraNav Driver will define the touch pad input as unintentional and disable the touch pad. After the detected input behavior finishes, the touch pad might still be disabled for about one second. Then, the touch pad will resume operation.
Update to ThinkPad UltraNav Driver 15.2.19.0 and later versions.

Remove the Lenovo drivers. They are evil... The native WIndows 7 drivers will allow the user to use both devices as desired, the ultranav drivers will disable the touchpad the second you even think about using the trackpad.
Better still would be if Lenovo would retire the trackpad and design a good touchpad. Right now, they both are horrible and are the only thing I hate about the X130e units. Well... that's not entirely true... the keyboard looks like it came off of a toy. Lenovo should check out the keyboard and touchpad on the HP 3115m. The X130e has the ruggedness I need in a K-12 environment, but the input devices leave much to be desired.
