X131e batteries won't hold charge

We are a school where our 5-8 graders all have one to one X131e laptops.  This year, every day, we have about 4-5 students come down and tell us that they charged their laptops that night.  They get to school, power on their computer, it says 100% battery.  Their computers go to sleep when they close the lid between classes and less than an hour later, the battery is completely drained and the computers won't turn on.

Our batteries have the latest firmware update.  Any ideas?  These computers are brand new this year.

Re: X131e batteries won't hold charge

1. Be sure laptop is going to sleep after lid has been closed and doesn't stay in the idle mode.

2. Check out laptop devices that might resume laptop and drain the battery. Open command prompt window and execute the following command:
powercfg -devicequery wake_armed

3. Be sure laptop battery is Lenovo genuine.
