Hi...so finally got my X1C today. One thing I am noticing is that the machine won't wake up from sleep mode when I press any key on the keyboard -- it only wake up by pressing the power key. This is a bit unexpected to me. Is it by design, and is there any way to change this?
Thanks for your help.

Does it awaken from stand-by if you press the Fn key? That's been the ThinkPad standard for as long as I can remember.
Regards.

When this happens, how long has the system been sleeping?
After 3 hours, X1C automatically goes into a deep sleep using Intel's Rapid Startup Technology. At that point only the power button (or opening the lid) will wake the system up. You'll know the system is resuming from deep sleep because the Power button light is flashing during the wake-up.
If you want to turn this off, then you can disable 30 Day Standby in Power Manager -> Advanced -> Global Power Settings.

Yes -- it wakes if I use the Fn key. Good to know that this is intentional. Is there any way to change this setting?
Thank you!

someotherguy: this is independent of how long the computer has been in sleep mode - it's the case even if it has been in sleep for 2 mins, or 20 mins....
