X1C6 replacement TrackPoint Caps.

I would like to order a set of caps for my X1 Carbon 6th Gen.

Could someone please provide a link to where I can order and correct part number?

The Lenovo site is rubbish on product description with no mention of compatibility with X1C6 and Amazon has million variants – few mentioning 6th Gen X1C.

Re: X1C6 replacement TrackPoint Caps.

Thanks, that looks right.

I find it mysterious that Lenovo.com does not have this product (4XH0L55146) for sale in many countries. How can that be? It’s a major component of ThinkPad functionality.

Just checked Lenovo sites for UK, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark.

I’m not purchasing copies on Amazon.com, even though they are “identical” – my X1 is the center of my business life and original Lenovo used to mean superior quality.

I'll probably find them overpriced via some local reseller, but purchasing a few rubber caps should not be hard and provide a crappy customer experience.

Re: X1C6 replacement TrackPoint Caps.

Just my 2 cents, but the TrackPoint cap on my X1 Carbon was causing me lots of issues (TrackPoint barely worked).  I had to replace it with a Thinkpad P52 cap to get it to finally get my laptop to be usable again.

Re: X1C6 replacement TrackPoint Caps.

What’s the difference between the original X1C6 cap and the P52 cap you mention?

Please include a part number and link to product if possible.
