I have an X1E and a Lenovo Thunderbolt Dock 3 (40AC0135AU). I have noticed that when plugging the dock into the X1E it's temperatures increase. Additionally the top surface where the thunderbolt 3 port and charging port are located becomes quite noticably hot.
I only have an ethernet cable, and a USB speaker plugged into the dock, and also have the X1 135 AC charger plugged in. I have tried plugging the Thunderbolt cable into the front and back of the dock (only the rear of the dock provides charging), but no difference.
Anyone know why the increased in thermals? Is this just what happens when you use Thunderbolt with an X1E, or this dock?

Thanks. That is a little annoying. makes resting your wrist on the laptop uncomfortable for long periods of time. Btw the dock doesn't get warm it is only the X1E topside where the Thunderbolt 3 port is located.
