X200 Maximum RAM benefits

I have a corporate allocated  X200 , Windows 7 Enterprise , Service Pack 1,  64 Bit, 4GB installed RAM. Intel Core 2 Duo, P8600


Question can i upgrade higher? Is there a benefit to upgrade to higher?

8 gigs max. The benefit is only realised when you are using more than 4 gigs in your current usage pattern.
