This is a SSD with 7 mm therefore I am using a spacer.

so there is lot of space on the top of the hdd. This may explain the extra amount of flex on that area. The X200 was shipped with 9.5 mm drives.

I noticed, the HDD would be in some rubber spacers at the edges. That means, even the HDD has some space between keyboard and HDD and therefore flexes. I will test this today and report.
