oh one more thing I forgot to mention,

I called lenovo tech support and my question was about this GPS issue,  the answer was so ridiculous, the guy told me "I dont know !  I have no idea"

can't believe this is so called "Tech support",

anyway, I will have to file replacement if it still has this issue after a few days.

Hi all,

please try to run TuneUP Utillities, you can get it as a trial and/or downgrade the GPS software to version 2.5.

GPS won´t work indoors and will need some time to get a fix.

Inserting an active sim card and activating the WWAN card may also help.

kind regards
Andreas

The Gobi 2000 device seems working, and getting signal as there are some orange bars going up and down. IT just not 'fix'. The WWAN cannot get activated as I am in canada, and there is no such thing as AT & T or Verizon etc. I have Bell data Sim card. But it does not work.

any more help.

Thanks Problem solved.

I activate the WWAN from Bell canada provider. The GPS automatically 'fix' within a few second..
