X201 with Gobi 2000 WWAN activation

2010-06-14, 1:31 AM

I have a X201 laptop from US and I would like to use it in Singapore with a valid SIM card from M1.

Although I can connect to internet using mobile broadband successfully, but GPS does not seem to work well with it.

I have updated Lenovo GPS to latest 2.60, but I do not see a XTRA (A-GPS) in GPS mode.

I understand that XTRA needs WWAN connectivity, though I have WWAN working but it's still indicated as "not activated" for Lenovo software.

Is there anyway I can change (e.g. registry setting) to "activate" mobile broadband so I can use XTRA in Lenovo GPS?
