X220 graphics fail?

Hello,

I'm experiencing a problem with my Thinkpad X220, consisting of strange figures appearing on the display.

They appear shortly after the startup, flash for a few seconds and then the laptop reboots (see video here).

Is anyone here able to help me in finding out, what's wrong with the laptop?

Regards, Jakub

Re: X220 graphics fail?

Thank you Puppy, removing one of the modules worked out! / Díky, Štěně, vyjmutí jednoho modulu zafungovalo! ;-)

I succesfully booted and used a computer for a while, however faced BSOD soon after (saying something about memory, I guess it might be caused by the lack of it, can't be?).

I'll probably upgrade to 8gb or 16gb by buying two new modules. Can you advise me about the possible frequencies? I tried to google it, but the answers differ.

Re: X220 graphics fail?

Well, it can also be something else like power circuit failure etc. Run Windows Memory Diagnostics or MemTest for a day.
