I have recently gotten an X220 and couldn't be much happier with it, especially considering it's a laptop from 2011. However, I purchased a few new batteries with it, an original 6cell one and two 9 cell ones which are not original units, and these wear down extremely fast; about 40% in half a year approximately. I don't keep them charging when fully charged, nor do I run them down to almost 0%, so I am not sure what causes this extremely high wear.
Now I expected the non-original batteries to wear down pretty fast, but not this fast. Could it be that I'm using a 90W adapter? Does this charge on a higher voltage/current which these batteries cannot handle? I've measured the voltage of the adapter, and it runs at 20.5 volts when not connected to the X220, so that seems ok.

I understand, I have been looking for genuinie Lenovo batteries. However, these don't seem to be on sale in the Netherlands. At the official Lenovo service point, they are not available.
Where can I get these batteries?
