X230 How to identify models with IPS?

Hi everyone!

I'm searching these days for X230 notebooks with IPS panels. Just wanted to ask, is there an easy identification (without switchin ON laptop) to determine which panel IPS or otherwise the laptop has? Some special stickers, particular model number etc? I mean how can I ask seller to check his screen's particular type before I go there and check out the laptop by myself? Thanks for your time....

Request laptop serial number from the seller and check out its matrice type on the Lenovo site: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/partsLookup.page

IPS matrices have the following p/ns (Lenovo FRU):
mfg p/n 0A66673 (FRU 04W3462), p/n LG - LP125WH2(SL)(B1),
mfg p/n 0A66702 (FRU 04W3919), p/n LG - LP125WH2(SL)(B3)

For your information this is all kinds of parts of x230:

I know this is an older thread, but maybe you can help me. 

I just bought an x230 and i am not sure if there is an IPS Panel in or not.
If i follow your links and checked the Serial number i got this result:

Is there an IPS Panel in?

Yes i see but i am didn't sure cause there only stand 0A66702. 

So you mean it is an IPS Panel?

Yes, that panel is definitely IPS.
