Hello, thanks for looking at my post, I hope you can help.
I have had my x230 (2306CTO) for about 10 months now, with no problem until I updated to windows 8.1.
After running windows 8.1 for 9 days with out a hiccup, my finger print reader stopped working. And when I try to enroll finger prints using the lenovo software (which I have updated, but to avail) I get the error code "E7210005", With the messages:
"Cannot enroll user"
"Cannot update passport"
"Cannot find finger print device"
However, In device manager The touchip finger print reader is reported as "This device is working correctly".
Everything is up to date, including leno software, Windows and BIOS. I have un-installed the finger print driver, When I "scan for new hardware" the device is detected and re-installed. I uninstalled the lenovo fingerprint software and reinstalled, but that didnt seem to be the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
