X240 TrackPoint problems

Hi all,

I'm having some issues with TrackPoint in my X240.

I am using 'trackpoint only' mode (not classic.. mode becaues it disables gestures - which are quite usefull btw)

Problem is, that sometimes clickpad have problems with left click recognition. It is really annoying, I have to click few times to actually click.

I think it is worse after last software updates (lenovo ultra nav)

Does anyone have this issue too?

Maybe Lenovo can add 3 physical buttons to my X240? Smiley Happy Smiley Wink

Separate new subject, different from this solved problem, moved to own thread.

The same problem here. Really annoying. Have to click several times until it reacts and clicks.
Shame on Lenovo. I really regret purchasing X240 after happy 5 years using X200s since 2009.

uninstalled the driver. will see.

I'm using 18.0.7.40 version and really haven't had any issues. I actually really like how responsive the touchpad is overall. I just had to increase pressure needed to recognize touch on the touchpad - but that's the touchpad not trackpoint.

I have switched off touch functionality, and I navigate by trackpoint and cick by physically pressing down trackpad sides

Meanwhile I also downgraded trackpad driver to 16.6.4.15. and it is sort of better now, but still lsometimes have to click twice or more.

Re: X240 TrackPoint problems

Dealing with the same problem all the time.  They really screwed up with the new trackpoint.  Wish we could go back to the older design.  Also wish someone from Lenovo actually read these listing and did something as a result of reading them.  I have gone back to using a mouse with my thinkpad.
