I recently bought an X250, and immediately upon using it, found that the spacebar is not as responsive as all the older thinkpads I've had in the past. Specifically, when I type I press on the right side of the spacebar to create a space, but my usual amount of force is no longer responded to by the keyboard. If I push harder, it will respond, but that's annoying because it slows down my typing speed. If I press on the middle of the spacebar it works much better, and if I press it with my left thumb it works better, too. Does that mean I'm typing wrong all these years, or did I end up with a bad key?
I have depot service, so would Lenovo address this if I send it in? If I send this in, do I need to remove all the data on the machine? Would they replace the spacebar or the entire keyboard as I saw somewhere? How long would it take?
Gotta say that the keyboard is much worse than the X230 that I am coming from.
