I am using a X201 with a Crucial M4 512GB SSD and everything works fine. It is the only one storage device in the X201. I now have a new X250 and want to use the this Crucial M4 for the X250. When the X250 boots up, the logo of windows 7 comes and the blue screen comes right after that. Please help me with this. I do not want to reinstall everything as I have a lot of software applications installed in the Crucial SSD.
I have already updated the lastest firmware of Crucial M4 512 SSD
I have updated the lasted firmware of X250, using the ThinkVantage Tools
I also looked at the storage firmware update of X250 but Crucial SSD does not seem to be included.
Thank you for your support.

The X201 is about seven years old now, and has a different processor and chipset than the X250, and I would imagine all the integrated peripherals (network, wireless, video, audio, etc.) are different as well.
Given the disparity in technologies, I don't know how successful you will be trying to get the old operating system with all of its drivers for the old X201 hardware to run on an X250.
LapLink Software makes a program called "PCMover" that lets you move software and settings an data from one computer to another. I have never used it myself, though, and have read varying reports of its success.
Personally, I would suggest doing a clean install of the operating system and applications to the X250 on a new SSD, and then migrate the data over from the X201. That way, you can always use the X201 as a back up computer system.
