Yes, that is the camera cable that includes the power button as well.

Since your issue seems strikingly same as mine, I would suggest to physcially inspect the cable originating from under the power button and then going under the hinge to finally behind the LCD screen. Opening the back cover of the laptop should allow this to be done easily. No need to open the LCD cover yet. The cable sometimes gets pinched beween the back cover and the body and if this happened during the past while the laptop was upgraded or serviced and the cable not taken care of while reseating the back cover, it may have developed visible damage or internally got some wires split out of their sheaths.

So check for damaged cable somehwere around the hinge area. If you see something, then yeah, order the replacement part# as mentioned in a previous post and then replace the cable. This time you'd need to open the LCD cover, since the cable goes behind the LCD all the way to the top camera, hall sensor and system LED. There are some LCD disassembly videos on youtube, that should get you going.

Hi

I had a similar problem like this with my Lenovo x250 the laptop will suddenly reset when in general moved

I fixed it by replacing the ram and re-tighting the screws of the bottom cover. Try one or the other.

MINE'S FIXED!

It's the camera cable indeed for me that was causing the issue which I believe should be the same for others.

The cable is probably getting squeezed in on the body-lid hinge which is most likely causing a short cicrcuit. I had to unscrew the joint that holds the LCD lid and main body and loosen the cable a bit. No dismantling needed. Also, I have slipped the cable under the metal hinge (see attachment). As you can see, the cable is sitting on top of the flat metal hinge which may be squishing the cable flat which is another probable issue.

I know this question is a little bit old but I was having this exact same issue and this is the first link Google brought me to. None of the suggestions here worked for me unforunately but I did find out what was wrong and how to fix... My problem ended up being that the keyboard data cable was loose and I had to open up the back of the laptop and fix that. Here is the Youtube video that solved my problem (at about minute 19-20):

As already discussed in this thread, emergency reset.  Accessed via hole in the base cover.
