It discharges the battery with the least amount of wear, first. Wear is defined as full charge capacity divided by design capacity. So the discharge order may change as the batteries naturally wear out over time.

Thanks for the reply, I am new x270 user and I didn't understand your answer well, it means that some times it starts discharge its internal battery and sometimes in opposite way? So if I plan to not turn off the laptop and change the external battery sometimes it is not possible because it discharge the internal battery first ? I will happy if you a little bit describe more because I search and this information was not available for x270 in net thank s again

Sometimes internal battery will discharge first. Sometimes external battery will discharge first. It depends on the wear level of the batteries. There's no way to change the behavior.

I made this account specifically to comment on your post.
My internal battery has 94 C/D cycles, and my external one has 41. And the internal one is still discharging first.
