X300 screen uniformity (darker on top than bottom)

My X300 screen is uneven, meaning that the same color will appear darker near the top of the screen than the bottom, regardless of "proper" viewing angle. This makes it very difficult to properly judge color balance in a lot of work I do.
#1 Does anyone else experience this?
#2 Has anyone had their X300 screen replaced by Lenovo?

Thanks

PS.  My T60P, with IPS-FlexView, is the absolute best laptop screen I've ever used -- and no, I am not expecting that level of performance from the X300.

Re: X300 screen uniformity (darker on top than bottom)

mine is quite uniform all over with an average delta of about 12% per my colorimeter.   12% is difficult for most people to discern.   if yours is noticeably different from top to bottom then the backlight could be partially broken or defective and will likely need to go in for service.

can you post a photo of the display with a solid background to show the problem?
