X380 Yoga WWAN M.2 Slot as a Second SSD

Hi,

For the Thinkpad X380 Yoga, is it possible to use the WWAN slot as a second SSD slot for a M.2 2242 SSD?

Thanks

Good day and welcome to the community.

In the past, I've seen hardware manuals say something like "WWAN card or SSD on selected models" when the system supports either type of card in the WWAN slot. The X380 Yoga makes no mention of an SSD in the WWAN remove/install section. See pages 73-74: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/x380yoga_hmm_en.pdf

The platform specification section of the PSREF makes no mention of the possibility, either: https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/Think_Tablets_and_Convertibles/ThinkPad_X380_Yoga

If another member has actually tried putting an SSD in the slot, hopefully they'll comment, but for now I think the answer is that it's not possible to use an SSD in the slot.

Regards.
