Whenever I boot up my X395 Thinkpad, an icon briefly appears and disappears at the lower center of my screen. It's a side view of a face, with a finger held up to the lips. I'm pretty sure it's a Thinkpad icon and not a Windows or app icon.
It doesn't seem to be related to audio settings or mic settings, since these have their own icons. It seems to be telling me that something is being muted, but I don't know what.
Any help appreciated!.

I did as you suggested, and the icon didn't appear. I disabled about a dozen services and half a dozen startup items. Should I re-enable one by one?
I should emphasize that my PC is performing perfectly, I'm just curious about what the icon signifies.

Oops, I spoke too soon. After disabling and re-enabling services and starup items, the icon went away, and stayed away for a couple of reboots.
Then the next day, it returned, and now once again displays every time I boot up.
If you can assure me that there is no Lenovo utility or app supplied with the X395 that displays such an icon, I can narrow it down to things I've installed myself. It's a fairly new PC, so there isn't a whole lot of stuff on here yet.
