X40 Memory Upgrade

I recently bought some new memory for my X40 2371 laptop.  I successfully upgraded the DIMM 2 slot under the computer, but what I can't figure out is how to locate/remove/upgrade the DIMM 1 slot!

Where is it?  I looked under the keyboard and didn't see it there.  Is there another slot or access point?

Thanks!  Max

Re: X40 Memory Upgrade

Welcome to the forum!

There's no "slot # 1" on X4x units, you have either 512MB or 256MB soldered on board, and this is not upgradeable.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

George

Re: X40 Memory Upgrade

Thanks for the tip.  I'll have to try and return the extra memory I bought!

Thanks.
