X60 display driver doesn't work!

2009-04-13, 0:05 AM
Info: I reformatted my hard drive, and I'm trying to install all the drivers I need. I'm using Windows XP Pro.

Problem: The video driver on the drivers website for X60 does not work

Error Message: When I click on setup.exe, I receive the following error message: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software. Setup will exit."

Questions:
1. What video driver do I have anyway? How do I check?
2. Where can I download the driver for my video driver?
(3. Why doesn't the video driver on the website work?)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Please do the following...

Start > Control Panel > System

Go to the "Hardware" tab

Click on "Device Manager"

Double-click on the graphics device

Go to the "Details" tab

From the drop-down box select "Hardware Ids"

Post the Hardware ID as shown there

For example, on my T61 with Intel x3100 graphics, the device is shown as follows...

              PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2A02&SUBSYS_20B517AA&REV_0C

You need to download the Intel driver for the GMA 950 GPU.

Can You point me to the right direction as to where I can obtain the driver for the x60? I'm having the same problem but the driver is not obtainable from lenovo's drivers site.

Click here. Select the OS you are using. Then proceed to download and install the driver.
